When I was in college I did a paper on Charles Darwin and went through hundreds of journals and letters that were preserved over the years and found that Darwin due to inbreeding suffered from mental issues and was not particularly academic. I also learned that his rich father was responsible for getting him into Cambridge and through Cambridge and went to great lengths to make it look legitimate considering Darwin's great inept nature as it pertained to academics. In other words, Darwin's rich daddy paid his way through Cambridge. In my ignorance I was astonished. Now, I realize the only thing astonishing was my great ignorance of how the world works. I look at Swallowswell here and I think 'Theres a guy who didnt have a chance in hell of getting through law school except for someone's great money and influence'
