  1. They can phone records via Courts all every number used. Most likely burner numbers were used but that doesn't matter because the number at that time will be tied to an IP & that can be traced to the person even if they used a VPN. Its VERY easy to track these people down.

  2. Actually there are misd's & felonies involved here. The call itself is a MSD. The misuse of Police resources & time is a felony.

  3.  @opossumsrawesome6860  Ya but you can reverse trace the number. You don't need the SIM card. So, Ok. Even if they used a TracFone right? You can't use a false Identity to sign up for a TracFone. You can still trace the number back to the phone & to the person that activated it. There is NO WAY to do this without it being trackable UNLESS you're a really good hacker & then it could still be tough. These people are easy to track down regardless.
