  2. the problem is they are not classified as such in all countries and so UN can not enforce that classification, it would violate the law of non interference in internal matters. UN can not force countries to change laws or ban organizations.

  4. simple. they need to keep pretending that they are a nation without actually giving them the rights of one. That way, no one has to go to war against idf to uphold international law and just pretend this conflict is no one else's problem. this ignorance is how we got here in the first place. no one has the balls to step up and be a security guarantor for the civilian govt. they use this narrative because it absolved them from taking any responsibility and shove it on an organization that has neither the resource nor the authority to carry those responsibilities.
