The citizens in these regions voted to join Russia. Any future peace negotiations will take into account "new realities". The following are the results of the referendums. Donetsk People’s Republic: 99.23% of participants in the region voted to join Russia. (2,116,800 voters) Luhansk: 98.42% of participants in the region voted to join Russia (1,636,302 voters). Zaporizhzhia: 93.11% of participants in the region voted to join the Russian Federation (541,093 voters). Kherson: 87.05% of participants in the region voted to join the Russian Federation (571,001 voters took part).
