Exactly. These raging anti-socialists don't realize how much they're being played by the Republicans. It's OUR MONEY, and we should demand bang for our tax buck. But Republicans convinced conservatives that liberals just want "free stuff" and don't know we're ushering-in some kind of Cuba, 1959 socialist takeover, which is NOT what's happening. It's just semantics and fear mongering. ALL governments have a socialist element. Government itself is socialist! There are some things better left to the free market, and some to the government because BOTH hyper-socialism AND hyper-capitalism can be bad. It's simply a balance we need to strike, and we usually do. I'M SO SICK OF THE IDIOTS SHUTTING DOWN EVERY LIBERAL'S IDEA AS A ROAD TO COMMUNISM!!

@theincantrix1144 It's not "free stuff." It's our money, and just because we want bang for our tax buck doesn't mean we want to turn America into Venezuela. That talking point is so STUPID. Simply put, Socialism is about the COLLECTIVE. Capitalism is about the INDIVIDUAL. We need both. Some things are better left to the government, and some to the private sector. The US has many socialist programs that conservatives like. That's a fact. Forget labels. We need POLICIES that work HERE, in the United States. Funny how those who are mindlessly chanting about a "leftist communist takeover" are those who support a president who cozies up to Putin, the former KGB agent who rules Russia and wants the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics back.
