  5. Imagine this scenario: The Russians launch a cyber attack on election day, and they conceal that its origin is Russia. They don't hit the voting machines, most of which are not online, but they hit the surrounding systems. Maybe they screw with the power grid, and the power goes out at polling locations - of which there will already be fewer, with more people waiting. People leave those long lines and go home. The votes will already not be totaled on election day because of the increase in mail-in ballots. People will already be confused because of all of the changes to polling sites, drop boxes, and mailboxes. Trump blames China or "a fat guy on his bed" for the cyber attack. He says that it looks like China, but "we don't really know because you have to catch them in the act," (which is untrue). The CIA says it wasn't China, but Trump followers dismiss that as the "deep state" helping Biden this time. Biden voters know Trump either knowingly cheated or neglectfully let chaos happen. Trump voters are sure that the left is trying to oust a duly elected president again. Everyone is pissed. Protests, which Trump will call riots no matter what, break out in every major "Democrat" city. Think about what happens from there.
