  2. I heard they tell new Presidents, "Whatever you do, don't mess with the CIA." Trump publicly compared them to Nazis on his first week in office. He accuses the Obama intelligence community of treason. But they can't talk. They can't write books or really defend themselves publicly. Now, he's on the military's bad side. They can talk, from former Generals down to the lowest ranking soldiers and their families. Of course Trump said those things in the Atlantic article (that has been matched by 4 other news outlets). Look at what he has said publicly. Common sense says he'd say worse in private. Then, while denying the reports, he attacks the top brass! What an idiot to be a Republican President and lose favorability with the military.
