Look at the crowds that were at both the Capitol riot and the civil rights riots last summer. Take away all of the truly non-violent demonstrators last summer. You're left with mostly local thugs who were not organized and had little understanding of government and partisan politics. None were supported by the Democratic party. Take away the truly non-violent demonstrators from the Capitol. You're left with a dozen or so Nationalist groups, including several white supremacist groups. They were organized, traveled from all over the country, many armed, and all driven by partisan politics. They were encouraged and disinformed by the Republican party. The President's cronies used those people for private security. Think about that. The President, who could have any professional security he wanted, had his people hire insurrectionists who had their own "emergency response team" with firearms - illegal to carry at the Capitol - ten minutes away. The President told them to "fight like hell". His lawyer said, "Let's have trial by combat!" as he cheered him on. There is no apples to apples comparison.

THE ANGRY QUAD - What does that have to do with anything?

Biden's Brain - Your screen name says at least three things about you. You're immature. You're too tribally biased to comprehend an issue. There's a good possibility that you're a paid troll... or just an unpaid troll, which is worse. At least the paid Russian trolls think they're doing a service for their country.

@theangryquad3127 - There has been equal justice. People have been charged with what they did. What's the problem?

@jimcapone1326 - ... So, I guess Donald Trump wasn't calling for the VP to refuse to certify the duly elected winner and install the loser even after the courts had ruled and every avenue to contest an election had been exhausted?

@bidensbrain2383 - I don't think any have yet. So? There are investigations ongoing. Do you say a murder hasn't occurred before someone is charged? Do you say a murder has not been committed if a suspect is acquitted? A crime statute is a different matter. Look up the definition of insurrection. It doesn't mention anything about crime. Your attempt to use some technicality to redefine the term is ridiculous. Armed groups stormed the Capitol to deny the rightful President his certification and install the loser. What do you call it?

@bidensbrain2383 - ... Is that a new FOX News talking point, like "collusion is not a crime," and then you say, "Mueller found no collusion" even though he never broached the subject because it wasn't a crime statute? "Collusion" simply means cooperation, and it's undeniable that it occurred. Call it "insurrection". Call it "peaches" as the orange moron once said. "It is what it is". A semantic argument gets you nowhere.

@QRW Sec - Who told you that obvious BS?
2
@theangryquad3127 - Charged dropped on WHO charged with WHAT? You don't agree with those decisions because...? Have you done a study of the literally thousands of arrests that have happened between the BLM and the Capitol riots? Do you realize how many different crimes of different levels in different states and jurisdictions there have been? Think, McFly. Take off your tribal, partisan lens. It's messing up your vision.

@jimcapone1326 - Duh, okay. If you say so. It fits squarely in the definition of insurrection.

@jimcapone1326 - CISA determined 2020 was the safest in US history. The DOJ found no crime had occurred and no suspect to charge. The Supreme Court found no reason to litigate it along with 60 lower courts. There were multiple ballot audits and multiple hand recounts confirming over 99% accuracy. The top Georgia election official gave a detailed debunk of every fraud allegation. Virtually all polls showed Trump behind Biden. Trump's approval rating never hit 50% in four years. There was a phone call in which Trump clearly committed fraud himself. His former lawyer claimed in court that a reasonable person couldn't take their fraud claims as statements of fact. Trump's chief pollster did an "autopsy" of his failed election bid that doesn't mention fraud and acknowledges that Biden had a double-digit lead. They say the fraud was perpetrated by everyone - individual voters, postal carriers, the Chinese, poll workers, Biden himself... It was committed everywhere - Multiple counties in Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin... Yet in all of this time, they've found no crime scene and no suspect.

@theangryquad3127 - That's what I said. Do you have a point?
1
@QRW Sec - And I live in one of the flashpoint cities. So? That doesn't change the fact that there was no violence or looting at 93% of the protests, and of the remaining 7%, 99% did not participate in any violence or looting. Hundreds entered the Capitol. There were organized groups there, and for a decidedly political, partisan reason that the party itself encouraged.

@jimcapone1326 - "Let's have trial by combat!" - Rudy Giuliani, at the rally right before the riot, as Trump stood there and cheered him on. "These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever." - Donald Trump, following the riot. "If she gets to pick her judges...There's nothing you can do, folks...Well, I don't know. Maybe you 2nd Amendment people..." - Donald Trump, 2016. (That statement got him questioned by the Secret Service). "Knock the hell out of 'em. I'll pay your legal bills." - Donald Trump, referring to opponents at a rally. Trump expressed support for extremists who surrounded a Biden/Harris bus on the highway. He echoed the demands of the terrorists after they were caught plotting to kidnap and kill the Governor of Michigan. He attacked his own, loyal VP on Twitter as the mob searched for him.
