@Christian-di8zu - You're going to need more firepower than an AR. Do you think the 2nd Amendment means we should be able to carry grenades? It isn't necessarily about taking up arms against the government. It's about being able to take up arms for your country - as in the "well-regulated militia" that the Constitution literally mentions. The militia IS the military. That was what we now call the Army and the National Guard. So where does the 2nd Amendment say you have the right to own and carry one for self-defense? I believe we should be able to, but that's not what the 2nd Amendment says.

@stevestoll3124 - "Teach me" moot points? Yes, features were banned. Most people SUPPORT the 2nd Amendment and just want some features banned, like high volume clips and organ shredding bullets. This is a MARKETING problem. Gun manufacturers know who they are marketing to just like cigarette companies market flavored cigs and vapes to a very specific age group. I've sold both guns and cigarettes, and I know they are really good at it.

@snakeplissken6313 - So? The old, "Something is worse than this, so we should ignore it" logical fallacy? Since I'm NOT against the 2nd Amendment or want extreme gun control, I can't want sensible gun control? So, I should be in favor of banning pistols, too? Makes no sense.

@slimjim7411 - What do you mean? It obviously banned something. And there are bullets made to specifically do maximum damage to the internal organs. I used to sell guns. ARs are marketed to the kind of people who should not have them. You don't need high volume clips or those types of bullets to hunt, and definitely not to shoot targets.
