To break down Trump's tweet: 1)- Trump confirms that he did, in fact, ask Barr to make a false statement. It has not been determined that Trump did nothing wrong. That's what the impeachment process is about. Barr making a statement is a gross departure from protocol. 2)- The story was not fake. Trump has no proof that the source doesn't exist. "Fake" should not be capitalized. "Anonymous" shouldn't be in quotes. It is an anonymous source. 3)- "Transcript" should not be capitalized. The transcript clearly suggests a quid pro quo, which isn't even necessary for the act to be illegal. There is much more corroborating evidence and testimony besides the transcript, anyway. 4)- If anything, the report shows that the press DOES have freedom. To say there's no press freedom is baffling nonsense. 5)- It's clearly a lie. Of course he asked Barr to make a statement. That's Trump's MO. He has done it countless times before.
