  1. I owned one years ago. If you plan on buying a 944 set aside funds (a lot) for maintenance plus all the 35 year old parts that will either fail or break from old age. Honestly if you want a fun sports car you're better off with a ND2 Miata. These old 944s are endless money pits when you put some miles on them. Remember, I owned one (in pristine condition) and got tired of fixing it. Old (30+ years) cars don't age well regardless of how clean they look. All that rubber and plastic cracks/breaks and of course seals will leak.
