  1. Human greed is the major cause. People want minimum wage higher but they don't think that businesses and corporations wont raise prices. A work place with 10 workers making $10/hr would lose over $100k per year if the pay was raised to $15/hr. That's not going to go unnoticed and prices of what the business provides will increase. In theory, the trickle down policy doesn't sound bad but greed has ruined it
