  1. The GOP don't want to be in the majority. They are controlled opposition. When they are in the minority they can complain that they don't stand up for their principles or get anything done because they don't have any power, but they want you to fund them anyway. Then when they do get in power they waffle, they make excuses, they delay, and sabotage their own party to make sure they get back in the minority. When Obama was in the white house the GOP said.. we can't do anything we don't have any power. So the Tea Party helped win them the House.. then the GOP said... we can't do anything because we only have one house of congress. So the Base gave them the Senate. Then they whined they couldn't do anything because they didn't have the POTUS, so the nation elected Trump. What did we get out of that? A small tax cut that mostly sunset after a period of time.. thanks to Paul Ryan (Fox news board member now). We got no reforms of the bureaucratic system legislatively, we received no protections of our rights, they didn't shore up and protect the immigration system, There are some legitimate firebrand supporters of the platform out there.. but they are a lot fewer than we would ever like to believe.
