I like Hong Kong not just for tax purposes, but it's a really cool place to live. It's a big city with all the amenities, but lots of people overlook the easy access to nature. There are TONS of cool beaches, laid-back islands, and hikes through mountains and jungles are located within Hong Kong. Such a cool place with some of the best food in the world all located in one place.

@raycaruso8026 only if you watch too much TV...avoiding protests in Hong Kong is as easy as walking around the corner of the next block

@Phil_br Well, lots of places are in China, so not sure why that would be a problem. But it's not too expensive to live if you find a place with decent rent. Food is cheap, transportation is inexpensive, healthcare is high-quality without exorbitant costs. At least that's what I've found there.

Consider Medellin, Colombia, I, and lots of other expats, love it there for remote working, etc...

@scachan331 you can make a real estate investment to move to Colombia, but it would be easier to get residency in Mexico where you could give Mexico City a go

@Phil_br yeah real estate is very expensive in Hong Kong, you can buy ten houses where I'm from in Michigan for the cost of an apartment in Hong Kong 😅
