  2. yeah they are adding ballistic missiles defense something the type 26 doesn't have, nor even the type 45, so it makes sense to be slower as its also likely to be more heavily armed, closer to a destroyer(hence its tonnage being somewhat close to the AB class destroyers) while also needing another radar AN/SPY so AEGIS works. Makes sense it would be slower, but it seems like they want destroyers and not frigates if they want them to be this heavily armed yet complain about speed. Weird.

  3. They also are asking for a lot more like AEGIS which include ballistic missile defense which not even the type 45 has. Its like they wanted a destroyer but built it in a underpowered frigate body.
