@mattnaka6437 eccept 27,000,000 out of 180,000,000 Russians died 13% of the population but there was still 87% of them left over 153,000,000 still plenty of people to have kids they could easily recover from that had Stalin lived longer Russia would fully recover from ww2 and much emphasis on the civilian economy and infrastructure and Marshall plan Stalin plan to do rebuild eastern Europe and Russia repairing destroyed infrastructure so in the 1950s and 60s if Stalin lived longer Russia could have a massive population and economic boom like America their birthrate would be high combined with modern medicine Russias population would skyrocket by the 1990s Russias population could be around 300,000,000 more than twice the population and by the present day 360,000,000 more than Americas.

@mattnaka6437 still there were other reasons such as too much military spending, being a developed country, the USSR collapsing due to Gorbachev allowing freedom of speech and gang of 8 or August coup causing chaos and confusion within the government leading to Kazakhstan, Ukraine, the Caucasus and its other territory now former Republics wich were allways part of Russia, Khrushchevs economic reforms and failed land projects, Yeltsins corruption ect

It wasn't really Communism itself that destroyed or retarded this promising Russia but poor decisions by the Soviet leaders

@mattnaka6437 yes very true it contributed a good deal but it wasn't the biggest reason had the USSR survived it couldve bounced back earlier than it did now its starting to bounce back to the 25 year cycle is now beginning to stop.
