@georgethompson4283 Off the top of my head he said he would never invade Ukraine. He also said he would never change the constitution allowing him to be president for life. He said ww2 was Poland's fault and the molotov-ribbentrop pact was made to protect Czechoslovakia. Its constant lies from that guy.

Russia was supposed to remove its support for the rebels, withdraw its forces form the Donbas and return control to Ukraine under the supervision of the OSCE. Russia did none of these, they violated Minsk on day one. Of course there would be no Minsk agreement if Russia hadn't violated the Budapest memorandum. The US from the INF treaty due to Russian non-compliance, stating that Russia had breached the treaty by developing and deploying an intermediate-range cruise missile known as the SSC-8.

@Memovox Prior to the war hydrocarbons made up 45% of government revenue, hydrocarbons have collapsed by close to 70% since the start of the war. (both Ministry of Finance numbers.) This was also before Ukraine started taking out a refinery every other day. Any 'growth' seen in Russia is because they raised taxes, they spend that all on the war though, not something that generates wealth. Inflation is at least 20% and interest rates are already 16%. And the Ruble is in the toilet and would have fallen off the chart completely if not for strict monetary controls. speaking of toilets 1 in 5 Russians don't even have access to one, come back down to earth.

@Memovox Two years taking enormous casualties to capture part of a small town right on the border. This is your grand Russian victory? Russia lost 10% of its deployed tanks trying to take this town. That's from photographic evidence. Putin was bragging about capturing 19 houses. You can tell the invasion is going well.
