  1. Different strokes for different folks, Paul. KIA and Hyundai are demonstrating a greater commitment to pure EV models than virtually any other major manufacturer (Tesla, of course, excepted.) And vehicles like the Stinger and K900 play an important role in elevating KIA's overall brand image, even among customers who opt for less expensive models.

  2. Inevitably there will be complaints about the initial limited allocation of the Korean EV's. But the demand for EV's in the US is still a tiny fraction of that for gasoline powered vehicles and it varies significantly by region. The problem of meeting demand is amplified by the ongoing tight supply of extended range batteries. Given those conditions KIA (and Hyundai) would obviously prefer to provide more adequate supply of vehicles in states where demand is highest rather than run the risk of unsold vehicles in states where demand is less. When battery availability improves, KIA will almost certainly expand the distribution of its extended range vehicles.
