  7.  @jrobs1133  The Scottish Parliament has powers to set laws and taxes uniquely for Scotland, independently of Westminster. For example, in Scotland you cannot buy alcohol in shops after 10pm. In England, this law does not exist. In Scotland undergraduate education is free, in England you have to pay 9 grand a year. In Scotland prescriptions are free, in England you have to pay for prescriptions. Hope that helps.
