  1. its probably one of those history revisionist things, to be fair lots of governments do this. i've seen this said in slogans all the time as well trying to present the "taiwanese" identity as always unique, even though majority of the han chinese just killed all the natives or japanese living on formossa and pretending they were always there.

  2.  @Asianometry  I kinda disagree with the conclusion, the korean war expenditures prevented them from taking taiwan anyways, so this whole thing was pointless, it just killed a fuck ton of intellectuals and destroyed taiwans economy, the white terror events were basicly a mirror of the retarded cultural revolution thing going in the mainland where intellectuals even with any knowledge of physics economics and western language use were killed or imprisoned, both stupid as fuck acts that weakened both countries and allowed westerners to further bully china.

  3. this youtuber is a taiwanese american dpp supporter who hates china and is obsessed with america, so obviously he wouldn't have sympathy. not that I am against chiangs actions, it makes sense to get whatever info you have against spys
