We are glad you left as well

13 school shootings since 1966

@peterbarton9856 you can’t justify your stats. The methodology you quote is nonsense. The one I referenced is logical. You can’t deny it so you talk about waving guns above heads. Whatever that means. California is democrat run at every level and they have the strictest gun laws. According to gun grabbers it should be the safest state to live. But it’s a horrible place to live because of the high crime.

The strictest gun laws in America. California is a horrible place to live.

@MayYourGodGoWithYou use the gun violence project data not the discredited gun violence archive “Data” they deliberately over count mass shootings.

@peterbarton9856 again it’s down to how you count a school shooting. Schools are everywhere and have large campuses. People use the properties all the time often when they shouldn’t. Lots of things happen on school property That aren’t school shootings but are counted as such. A kid shoots another kid with a pellet gun he brought to school. A security guard that accidentally discharged his gun at 2am. A robbery that involved a gun shot victim on Sunday outside of a school. A drug deal gone bad in a parking lot. All these should not be counted as school shootings but they are.

@peterbarton9856 so if a security guard accidentally shoots the floor at 2am in a Sunday that should be counted as a school shooting? The media deliberately use inflated data as they have an agenda. If you think little Jimmy shooting a pellet gun in his own leg is a school shooting then that’s up to you. I’ll stick with a sensible methodology.

@peterbarton9856 unlike democrats (who run all the crime ridden states and cities) I care about children. 15,000 Americans died from gun violence. Nearly all gang and drug related. 105,000 Americans overdosed last year. 43,000 died on our roads. My favorite number is the 500,000 to 2.5 million defensive use of guns every year. All the robberies, burglaries and rapes that never happened because citizens could defend themselves. The media never report those stories. Odd that.

@peterbarton9856 democrat run cities in Republican states drive up those stats. Your definition of a mass shooting is absurd. Have you ever fired a gun? Bought one? Owned one? Ever read the constitution? The ignorance of gun grabbers is amazing.
1
@peterbarton9856 so a security guard accidentally shooting the floor while patrolling at 2am a school counts as a “School shooting” That’s your methodology. You know nothing about guns or America. If you did you’d know more about how we are governed at federal, state and city level.
1
@peterbarton9856 you have access to the internet. Good job. Alaska is the Wild West. If you knew anything about America you’d know that. Like the gun violence archive data you rely on Wikipedia is just as useless.
1
@peterbarton9856 gun violence archive is not government data. It’s a non profit anti 2a propaganda organization.

There are thousands of federal gun regulations already. The problem isn’t guns it’s people that shoot people with them.
1
@alexojideagu that’s a complicated question with a complicated answer. Yes gun availability is part of it. However there are lots of guns in Switzerland and they don’t have the same problem. Lots of the gun deaths in America are drug and gang related in democrat run cities. Most of America is very safe despite high gun ownership. Guns prevent lots of crime Europeans just accept as normal. Here in Texas people are aware that lots of people carry and know how to defend themselves that equates to less crime.
