Also it was a strategic asset against China. Not because I’m pro Russian but because of Realpolitik. Poking the bear led to the 2014 invasion and this expanded invasion. I warned about this then and everything I warned about came true. I was right then and now. “Not one inch East” we said! We lied and lied and lied. At some point we needed to stop encroaching on Russia with the EU and NATO. I warned about this war and because of ignorant politicians and a naive public we are not in a proxy war in Europe with Nuclear armed Russia. Meanwhile as we get weaker our real enemy China is getting stronger. I’m a realist. You are a virtue signaler.
