  1. The vessel looks like some kind of homemade wooden boat without an engine. It didn’t look big enough for 11 people. It looks like they launched their homemade boat from the beach by carrying it to the water, since you couldn't see any boat ramps on the beach.

  3.  @Cannon_Fodder_Russians  In engineering colleges they was design contests building boats out of cement or milk cartons or other non-traditional material; it's not the material, it's the engineering design.
