The South Korean FA-50 light combat aircraft as well as the Korean K2 tanks and the Korean K9 self-propelled howitzers meets NATO military standards on weapon ordnance interoperability with the rest of NATO ammunition, but cost much less than similar Western units; South Korea had designed these systems with NATO countries as possible customers.

@Reticulated_Spline South Korea is like Japan with a policy of not sending weapons but humanitarian aid. South Korea had sent $100M in 2022 and have sent $150M so far this year 2023.

@cyber8_8_8hg9 Poland had already ordered American Abrams M1A2 tanks, Patriot missile defense systems, HIMARS, Apache attack helicopters, and F-35 fighters. They had to work within their military budget, so South Korean weapons were the “Biggest Bang” for the “Money” for what they had left.
