  1. The whole notion of social justice is great and all, but I feel like the over-emphasis is just ridiculous and it has lead to a situation where there are so many fake claims, and on top of that it leads to situations like this unfortunately where a high power politician commits suicide. Situations like this will most definitely shock people and I'm sure many will also begin to second guess the importance of social justice in modern day society. Personally, I think that it's created a culture of shaming others, ruining reputations, ruining livelihoods, wasting so much time & not accomplishing much, etc. Overall, I think this needs to stop and people need to confront their issues and be willing to take criticisms. With that said, I feel like in general, South Korea is still not quite comfortable discussing and confronting issues involving sexual nature and situations involving mental health. It's something that I think South Korea really needs to address and educate more people. I feel like like these kinds of topics are still taboo to talk about with many (not all) people in South Korea, and that creates problems; problems like this situation if things get out of hand. That whole 5 day funeral paid through tax payer money is something I think is excessive; especially since politicians already have a high salary. I'm sure they could've had a more private event with only family and paid out of their own pockets. Using tax payer money and doing the whole 5 day thing which costs a lot will create a lot of negative opinions; something that will make an already controversial situation worse.
