I feel exactly the same as you. I’ve just nearly pulled two of my boys out of the cadets as one goes on annual camp soon. I went in to his unit building yesterday and had a lengthy discussion with his senior staff officer about what security will be in place. I was on the verge of pulling him out of the cadets altogether, never mind the actual camp. My lad begged me not to. Since the knife attacks he hasn’t been to any parade evenings which is sad but I don’t see this issue being resolved anytime soon.

@keifer7813 Well no of course not however that was a minority within a larger group that was letting the side down. Let’s not forget that the reason so many of our British citizens have taken to the streets in the first instance is because we’ve been gaslighted about the very issues that have been raised. Injustice on a grand scale and it’s STILL going unanswered! while I don’t condone thuggery I can certainly empathise with the underlying frustrations. The rhetoric is reprehensible…. Meanwhile a British man has been jailed for 2 years for having an opinion on social media, ( OUTRAGEOUS) and a vile serial ( ethnic ) rapist , one of many! has landed himself a short term ( 6 month sentence ). I implore everyone to stop paying their taxes unless they hold another election and like someone else has suggested then spoil the ballots until Parliament aka the cesspit of corruption gets the message. Forgive the vitriolic tone but it’s abhorrent to me when people start focusing on a fraction of our issues as opposed to the bigger picture. It’s effectively undermining us, you may as well just imply the same absurdity that we the British people are far right for simply getting pissed off about not being heard. The enemy is the government not a very FEW mindless individuals taking advantage of a hostile situation.

Vile isn’t it. He didn’t even stop to engage with the people of the town of Southport, not that his presence was being particularly welcomed. Either way Starmer has children I believe , you’d think his sense of empathy wouldn’t just be for his own people based upon his leadership but primarily as a parent himself first. Terrible and reprehensible man.

@kapkone Yeah I’m appalled by these sentences. It’s absolutely shocking. I feel exactly the same. I had to go for a walk with the kids earlier just trying to dissociate for a while. Sad times guys. X

@ivancho5854 Not sure who ‘She’ is but I’ll take an educated guess you’re referring to me as I mentioned the grooming gangs. I raised that point ( one of many ) to in part evidence my argument that there is a clear in balance when it comes to justice and a preferential treatment manifest in our society both historically and at present. I thought that was self explanatory.

Thank you for your consideration re: Cadets. 🙂My boy has done two years with them anyway . If you complete two years with the Air cadets and one annual camp then there’s a fast track scheme available at BAE Systems in the future and his staff sergeant happens to work for them. He’s going down the engineering route I think IF he gets good enough grades at school so if we decide to leave the cadets I know he will have at least taken something from it, alongside great experiences and wonderful friends. Hence it’s a difficult decision for both me and him to make.

He’s going to come up against some serious kick backs though as he’s attracted much attention from Elon Musk over this and he’s not one to keep shut over censorship.

@angelmartin7310 people really do like to get lost in the trivial don’t they. I think we should remain on track. This isn’t a debate about cultural influence per se. The artist isn’t my cup of tea either but it’s irrelevant to the discussion.

@ivancho5854 No but I’d like to anyway as that was bad form on my part. I get you completely, it’s not helped by the fact that we don’t seem able to trust in the establishment for fear of being judged or ridiculed for our concerns. It’s a classic case of catch 22 in some respects because if we stop living then those that seek to diminish our culture and value of life win but if we don’t and plod on then it’s a huge consideration to the risk factors. I suppose the middle ground is somewhere best. In your case Check school policies and see if headteachers, year heads have a system in place to notify them of threat indicators. That kind of thing. I’m in the same boat as you as you as the youth organisations will be very similar. Another aspect to query is if staff have had or are due proficient training in the event of something akin to the incident in Southport. I hope your boy enjoys high school. 🙂 It’s a huge transition for him but being honest I think it’s an even bigger one for us parents . Best ❤️

Well these are the concerns that the Irish have. I was watching a very interesting break down of why the north of Ireland is beginning to unite and besides the obvious common factor of immigration, Ireland would be looking to lose or potentially have lost most of its indigenous population in approximately 50 years. Shocking. I’ll throw the link to the gentleman’s video and actually one more by a historian if Tim won’t mind. It’s all factual and by no means inciting violence.
