  1. It’s losing its economy because it shut down its energy grid. It will be pushed back to using wood….if there is any. Some countries will nose dive into a depression. They cut off their nose in spite of their face.

  2. There is one difference between the US and Europe…. the middle private sector middle class. The U.S. grew that wealthy entrepreneurial middle class thru capitalism. The government was formed to protect property rights for the individual and allowed the middle class to grow assets. That’s it! One other unfortunate difference, after two wars, Europe lost millions of mainly young men… so when the wars ended, they had no economies and no one to grow economies. Only countries that stayed out of the wars and had natural resources like oil at least that that… and Germany survived because of all those weapon companies..they were so industrialized from the war…and their products were in demand. Europe never had the opportunity to grow a strong private sector middle class. That probably the biggest difference between the two Western hemispheres. This is a fascinating topic.
