Based on this [circumstantial] evidence, the more likely conclusion would be that Putin is in some kind of pain -- probably related to war-time stresses + possible abdominal concerns. For the more unlikely conclusion taker, one might theorize that, although not dying, maybe Putin is suffering from a serious-yet-treatable, stage-one illness.

After the pandemic began, the same was done by dictators Isayas Afewerki and Kim Jong-un. Many people actually thought they planned their respective faked-deaths together because both schemes were executed during the same weekend. And both revealed themselves and acted against their respective coup-plotters on the same day.
