My favorite part of this series has been how you have asked and tried to answer very deep questions about the history of colonization and the way we modern humans living in the 21st century see it. Many people think the way the world is now was always meant to be and so the future is also meant to be in a certain way. This perspective is very tunnel-visioned. If just a few things were different, everything would be different in our modern day. So a few, well-position changes done today can make the future unrecognizable from the current trajectory of today, as well. Kudos, Johnny Harris.

  2. Respect to the Zulu warriors at Isandlwana. S/O to the Tigrayan General Ras Alula Aba Nega and the Tigrayan warrior that fought with him at the Battle of Adwa and more. Emperor Menilik II wasn't even near the battlefield and took all the credit. Same to my Somali brothers, their forefathers also fought the Italian colonizers down southwest.

  3. I agree. It's actually funny how a Nordic Norman conqueror was the one to set up a stable monarchy that still exists 1000 years to this day.
