At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked a question as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation. In the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention, a lady asked Dr. Franklin: “Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Benjamin Franklin replied: “A republic....if you can keep it.” Trump and Republicans are telling us that we can no longer keep it. They are basically giving the Constitution, and the American people the middle finger. It is my sincere hope, that we the Amercan, return that middle finger to them on election day 2020. 💙 America's democracy and Constitutional republic, has never been in more peril than it is right now. Trump and republicans, are attempting to reverse our victory in our War of Independence, that began 1775 and ended in 1783. They are attempting to throw it all away, like it never happened, and install a new King, a new monarch, a new tyrant, to rule over the American people..
