@John Blip You don't know who's mentally stable and who's not. That's the problem. Banning assault rifles will definitely save lives. It's the preferred weapon of MassShooters for a reason.

@Zaa-up4hg Who said anything about banning guns? We banned a specific type of gun for 10 years, and it saved lives. That's a fact.

@John Blip Cops aren't the problem, because Cops don't go on massShooting sprees. The assault weapons ban we had from 94 to 04 reduced the number of massShootings in the country. It worked for 10 years. Plus, your survival rate decreases when an assault rifle is used in a MassShooting. In all the massShootings where an assault rifle was used, the number of deaths would easily be cut in half if you replace that assault rifle with a handgun, or hunting rifle. As a Marine veteran with extensive weapons training, I can tell you from experience that assault rifles have no business being sold to the public. Allowing a weapon of mass carnage to be sold to the public is the height of irresponsibility.

@John Blip The problem with people like you, is that you don't take this seriously enough, because you or no one you care about has been a victim of something like this....at least not yet. But I can assure you that the people who attended that parade never dreamed they would be a victim of something like this one day.

@John Blip Republican Mike Turner announced his support for a ban on the sales of military style weapons following theDeadly MassShooting in downtown Dayton Ohio on August 4, 2019 after he discovered his daughter was almost one of the casualties. “I believe these are necessary steps forward in protecting our country and a testament to American values, which include protecting human life," Turner said in a statement Turner, a Dayton native, said he would also support legislation placing restrictions on high-capacity magazines as well as so-called red-flag laws, which allow police and family members to “quickly identify people who are dangerous and remove their ability to harm others. Turner made this statement after he found out that his teenage daughter was across the street from the shooting that night and she had just missed being out on the street when the shootingStarted by just seconds. So now all of a sudden he cares. He should have cared back in 2012 when 20 babies were the victims in the Sandy Hook shooting. We all should have cared.
