  1. Hitler tried to make peace with Britain. Hess even flew across the Channel for peace. But Churchill would have none of it.

  3.  @shadymerchant1198  Study Hitler and you'll see that he wanted an alliance with GB. England would rule the sea and Germany the continent. Hess's flight shows how serious the Germans were. But Churchill wasn't having it. He'd rather turn Europe over to Stalin and the Americans and lose the Empire. Now they're begging Germany to become a strong military power again. Yet they destroyed a strong Germany twice.
