  1. According to economists, WHICH ones? The same ones that totally MISSED the 2008 meltdown?? The fly in the ointment here.... Iran has to keep its folks HAPPY for a few years. The prices have skyrocketed in Iran. If indeed Sanctions have failed... WHY would the Dear Leader of IRan suddenly want a dialog??? That doesn't make logical sense. Although mullahs have no need to make any sense.

  2. China already devalued the yuan by 15%. Making a 15% tariff = zero price increase to US consumers. No there is not a recession. Growth just slowed back down to about 2%. Just like it was during most of Obama's term. However the Fed raised rates 4 times in 2018. Which should have by history already caused a recession.

  5.  @becon272  Who cares if they trade with China? UNless the EU decides to trade with Iran instead of the USA. Which seems EXTREMELY unlikely given the size of the USA market versus the Iranian market.
