  2. Many thousands of THOSE people would simply LEAVE the United States and take their Capital WITH them. EXACTLY has BEEN occurring here in California. Massive outflow of wealthy people. Mostly replaced by folks with little to no Means. California now has the highest Poverty Rate in the United States. California now has the highest Unemployment Rate of any State.

  3. You have to live somewhere! If you are renting you are simply paying property taxes to the buildings owner. Without ever getting ANY gains. Correct that the main problem is the 25% loss in the Value of a Dollar since 2021. But it would be a demonstrably false statement to say that you can only make Capital Gains on RE held for less than a year.
