Actually the Chinese DO pay the tariffs, the ones the Chinese put on imported US goods THERE. You forgot that little detail.

The Chinese were laughing at Obama. They certainly are NOT laughing now, their stocks are down 20%. Look up how (on Youtube) China received a visiting President Obama versus a visiting President Trump, if you want to see the reality.

Manufacturing has been the fastest growing segment of the economy under Trump. Please quit confusing your feelings with actual facts.

Chinese consumers will be paying the tariffs in China, on US goods & supplies. Did that point escape you??
1
Yes it is like a tax. It can go towards programs or paying down debt. Do you think that is bad??
1
Mainly because of vastly increased orders to get in under the tariff dates.

China has been divesting itself of US debt for years now. China does NOT have the resources, which is WHY they have been buying them from around the globe. Like contracts for oranges from Brazil to be delivered as much as 10 years from now! China depends upon a stream of recycled plastics, paper and metals from around the globe.
