The words of "Runnymede" describe it beautifully, "The lissom reeds that give and take, That bend so far, but never break, And still, when Mob or Monarch lays Too rude a hand on English ways, The whisper wakes, the shudder plays, Across the reeds at Runnymede." It has happened many times in English history, that we bend, and bend, and bend, trying SO hard to be tolerant...then one day "Enough !" and that lissom whisper breaks !
