Socialism is a favorite Republican attack word because it has deliberately been turned into a buzz word. Since they always use it we need a candidate who won't run away from it. Who will simply own it and say "next question". We need a candidate who has a spine of steel and has stepped up to show what real strength and leadership is before and during the election. It's too imperative that we win this one. Trump was right when he said if Democrats run on identity politics he will win. Democrats have to step up their game and put the bread and butter issues on the table this time. Do not drop the ball in deference to the donor class. That might fill the party coffers but it won't matter. Democrats will be done as a party and the country will be lost to an authoritarian fascist and a blood thirsty mob who can be whipped into action at a moment's notice with a few words from their dear leader against anyone in the country. If I thought a different candidate were better equipped to get it done I'd switch in a heartbeat. Don't understand estimate Trump again. Go with the one with a real chance of winning again and save the politics as usual for another time
