Obama couldn't find a way to arrest Julian Assange without setting a bad precident although Obama was the worst president ever for whistleblowers and very much wanted to prosecute Assange. He has published information that made him a darling of the left then became the darling of the right both due to the divisive politics in this country. The court system here has been stacked with right wing hacks and I don't trust them to deal fairly with anyone. Assange made it clear before the last election here what the consequences would be of electing either of the bad choices we were given and has proven to have been absolutely right about the dangers of Trump. He and Manning are being prosecuted for exposing U.S. war crimes that started under the Bush administration. If there were any possible legal way to prosecute Assange Obama would have done it. He tried hard to find a way that was even remotely legal under our constitution. Remember, both Michelle and Barak Obama were lawyers and Obama was a constitutional scholar with access to the best legal experts in the country. Obviously that makes me fairly certain this is a constitutional violation of the free press and sets a scary precident for the press world wide. With Fox now acting as state run media I start to wonder if the U.S. will soon be comparable to a far more powerful North Korea.

@Coma White He is actually a publisher who puts out raw information for journalists to work from. The Guardian, the New York Times, the Intercept and others have used it to base many articles on.
