Yeah, but I think the main dangers are high inflation and unemployment issues, other than localized disasters (power outages due to hurricane, storm, etc)
the first thing you need is water storage and a lot of rice and dry beans/lentils. Easy buy.
Next thing, if you have a yard, is probably planting about 10 semi dwarf fruit trees. That will eventually give you 3000lbs of fruit per year.
Get solar PV and rain water barrels, especially if they're subsidized or there's net metering in your area.
If you're in North America, get your fishing and hunting licences and enjoy the hobby. If you're in the UK, you might want small livestock for meat like quail and rabbit.
Diversify the currencies you hold. Don't just hold your national currency, don't just rely on one domestic bank.
Have a passport and if you have the money and time, work on getting legal residence papers in an uncorrelated country to your own.
