Most people feel love more consistently from having a dog around them than another human who has their good days and bad days. Dogs are always happy to see you when you get home. Also you should get used to loving other humans without physicality involved, which means going to some places like really good churches that emphasize practicing love, or Buddhist sanghas. Did you know that there were many renowned saints who were not physically intimate? Jesus was one of them. Many of the Syriac saints of early Christianity, Bhodisattvas and Brahmacharya were full of love without being physically sexual.
