  1. I will suggest you to go to any village in eastern up or Bihar and see the consumptions by your own. The mistake made by "Analysts living in cities" are almost always wrong. Either you will see few data and paint some Rosy picture or some doomsday announcement. Neither will be correct. Will give you one simple example - If a family has 2 children then they are giving them Maggie, soup, momo, bread, etc. This is not coming from some extra income or prosperity but from free grains savings, free money by state or central government,etc. It is not an actual income and it is painting a false picture. Also, people are consuming less Daal, meat or egg. If you check it properly,you will see that it is bcz if lack of money and it is causing malnutrition. Maggie is cheap food to fullfill the belly.

  2. You are reading too much in this data. People are eating Maggie and bread - 1. Savings from free grain 2. States are giving 500 rs to 2k to people 3. States like Bihar give some rs to girls fir tution fees. It is used by them to buy Maggie and chowmin,etc. It is worse than the MANREGA Days bcz people are not getting work and getting free money. I don't see any new jobs or growth in villages. By the way, I have seen many people buying 5 rs Maggie.
