@greatacademy1 British has built new delhi. so r u going to rebuilt it again?
I or for that matter most of Indian,r not obsessed with British or European.
Contrary to that, few people are still traumatized by British, that they don't understand a simple thing.
All this are built on Indian soil, by Indian money.
One can always change the narrative any point of time.
Like, we have done that in 1947 with parliament building.
Also, Indira Gandhi has done that by adding AJJ der.
It is pride of generation of Indians. Creating a new monument doesn't mean to change the old one. India Gate and AJJ is associated together in Indian minds and we all (atleast most Indian) feel pride.
By the way, India was always a country, a single unity, even when not United politically.
All this Rashtrawad, one Nation one Everything is bullshit.

@greatacademy1 Noone can disagree that British looted India.
But if u say they didn't add any cultural value in India, it is far from reality.
Just one example... Bhagvad Gita was made popular by British. They started using it as one book of Hinduism, as Bible is one book for them.
If you check, you will find that Gita was not very popular before British came to India.
Another example -Right now, the ruling party and its mother organization is more impressed by European Nationalism than that if Indian. Please read Guru Golwalkar Book for reference.
Same goes for Veer Savarkar. His idea of Hinduism was more inspired by Abrahmic religions than Sanatan Dharma.
All this nonsense of one nation, one langauge, one religion (though not said directly),one culture, etc is completely European idea. Nothing to do with Indian culture and traditions.
India is multi cultural, multi traditional, multi religious, multi lingual country.
It has absorbed so many things for other religions, culture even if it was from those who came to loot India.
