Shekhar ji, we are not asking for subsidies Petrol or Diesel. We are asking for less tax on petroleum. Modi government has increased 30+ rs when crude oil prices were 25-30$. At that time, Arun Jaitley and other ministers told us that they were creating a buffer and when price increases, people will not suffer. But the Modi government has done completely the opposite and that was the problem.

@rohitkashyap1051 then that buffer should have been used to reduce burden. But it was not done until it was very late. The government should not behave like Munafakhore. By the way check the petroleum minister's speech in parliament where he boosted about 4 Lakh crores of tax from petroleum and the public was paying 100+ rs for oil. In 2014, the Indian government was earning some 70k crore from tax on petroleum. So from 70k to 4 Lakh crores. It was like how Adani wealth grew.

@arunsar7893 , Anything heavily taxed is not a sign if good economy. By the way, if you are taxing petrol, Diesel then poor will suffer the most. Then lower middle class. No one from the Higher Middle class or upper class bothered about petroleum prices. And which welfare schemes? Ujjwala - BCZ of LPG price this successful scheme is now a complete failure. Swach Bharat - Where is Bharat Swachh? 10% impact is der. Nothing more. Kisan Kalyan - 6000 rs per year i. e 500 rs per month. Wow what a welfare. Free Food grains - That need was temporary and arise during covid only. That too, bcz Modi hi has implemented the horrible scheme of Notebandi, which destroyed the Indian economy. And then covid came, illogical Lockdown was one of the main reasons for people suffering. Poor people suffered and Adani grew by 300%.

@arunsar7893 First of all, Don't ignore your bias and prejudice and read my statement like that. "Anything is heavily taxed, not good for any economy. And petrol diesel was taxed 65% of der prices. " Also, don't heavily tax super rich too. I agree with you on one thing. "nothing good is going to come out of a discussion, where a person believes in heavy taxing, taxing petroleum so much which in turn impacts everything which is used by each Indian. Adani is not a political statement. It is a crony capitalism example where rules are modified, process are changed to accomodate one person and poors are suffering. Adani is an example and if you think he is a political statement then I made my point about crony capitalism.
