Shekhar ji, why are we so excited about G20? I am not talking about the importance of G20. It is important. I am talking about this over excitement and extra enthusiasm. In my real experience, it is always a sign of a person who is less confident, insecure and thinks himself as lower in status than those who are coming. A rich person will never get so enthusiastic about anybody to visit but a poor person will get over excited if even a Chhutbhaiya Neta will visit his house.

@Hawa_Chapal First of all, India is member of G20 for long. Secondly, it is a rotating presidency. So Indonesia got it and so does India. Lets say, if you go to Ambani house, they will not be overwhelmed by your presence or they will not prepare extensively for you. But when they come to your house, you will be super excited and will do lots of things to please them. In your mind you know, that they are Ambani and your Aukaat is very less in comparison with them. That's what India is doing. We should be excited about it but over excitement is what I am talking about.

@mareddy5696 We were influential nation since beginning, even before our freedom. The soft Power was always der in varring degrees. With the growing economy, our influence is increasing. See the videos when Nehru went to USA. Clinton came to India and then Bush did a nuclear deal, only unique for India. India was a member of G20 for long and it is a rotational alphabetical presidency. Indonesia got it last year and der economy is way smaller than us. So I don't think this G20 hosting shows any growing influence. It was already der and this G20 will neither increase it nor decrease it.

@A4Aqua you are right. The problem now a days is, people don't know facts and see some rubbish news channel or read WhatsApp for der news. Or they get overwhelmed by advertisements. I can understand that about people who are uneducated. But those who have access to everything talk like this, are either fools or Chamcha. They don't even bother to check facts.

@Hawa_Chapal It is influence of India and not Modi. You and I both agree that Manmohan Singh was not an influential PM. But he also addressed the American Congress. Bush has done a nuclear deal with him. It is only done with India and no other country. It was not Manmohan Singh's influence but India Influence. The same way, it is India's influence and not Modi's influence. If anyone becomes PM tomorrow, it will not matter, until he/she is India PM.
