My own "Saali" has gone to Jadavpur to participate in the protest and she is still der and it is 12:20 AM. Mamata Banerjee's government response was bad in the beginning and that caused the issue. Mamata Banerjee must hurry and solve this issue asap. The brutality was unimaginable and hence the anger.

Shekhar ji, about the protection of doctors - It was not done by some patients but was an internal job. I don't think the Police would have been able to protect this unless we have a situation where all these people have fear of punishment. By the way, in the name of Protecting, if you go to SSKM hospital in an emergency, doctors will be chilling and gossiping but will not attend to your patients. However, the doctors in the emergency department of Bangur Hospital are really great and it seems like they have a shortage of staff as all of them are always attending multiple patients. So two government hospitals, different experiences.

@masoombari4890 Why should Mamata Banerjee resign? Which government can stop these types of cases? It was done by insiders. If a girl is raped inside her home, her office by her colleagues, etc then noone can stop this, except we have courts where all criminals will be punished asap. Until then, it cannot happen. Yes, police didn't act as required. But in India which state police do? So the ask of her resignation is political ask.

@preetiraut7700 It is goverment job to keep check the working hours? Are you out of ur mind? Anyone who is working for 36 hrs can complain but we have this issue everywhere. We have shortage of doctors. So this type of this is labour law issue. U can do that seperately. How is it related to this case? Raise questions on that but how is it connected with the rape and murder case? Can't this happen to a girl who was done only 2 hrs of duty? So don't be ridic_ulous.
