Shekhar ji, I was against any caste reservation except SC/ST and hence didn't take OBC reservation for myself.
However in 2019, everything changed.
Those who were against caste based reservation (BJP) passed that bill.
Media, which is mainly upper caste(which I didn't use to see in that manner earlier), has said almost nothing about it, except few articles in Indian Express and The Print.
But the most shocking of all was, the decision of SC. They have done amazing (?) job here-
1. For Jaat Reservation, the asked to check the condition of people.
2. For Maratha Reservation they asked to do the same
3. They put the limit of 50% so that they don't have to expand the reservation more than 50%, which was good thing.
But for EWS, they didn't ask for any survey, any caste status and even crossed this 50% margin by some technical reasons?
After that decision, I felt like a big idiot.

@AmalTan 😂😂😂
Principle? SC lost that Principle in 2019. So don't talk about principle.
Have some nuance bro.
Der is no question of representation on being proportion.
The question is, those who were suppressed based on der caste, gender should get equal representation based on der population.
When you talk about Southern states seats, it is not a completely different thing.
When states were created, Our constitution didn't give extra power to any state. So der is no case of giving benefits or upliftment of any state.
Till 1970, states Population were growing equally fast but after that Southern States done better.
So both have same access to resources and one done better.
But in case of caste, one was using a car and the other was forced to walk after breaking der legs.
So der was inherently a discrimination and hence this representation.
And if you cannot understand the difference between these two, I will not be able to explain any further.
Once again, you have different medicines for different illnesses.
Also, even if the illness is the same, two people might need different treatment.
So have some nuance in your thinking. Everything is not Black and white. Actually nothing is black and white.
Even the white or for matter any colour is different level of whiteness on the spectrum.
