I think Biren Singh has not behaved like the CM of Manipur but the CM of One ethnicity. He has taken the leaf out of PM Modi politics where he ignores one religion completely. But the issues in Manipur and for that matter NE is more complex than a simple Hindu Muslim division.

@MeiteiManipuri 1. Who said only Kuki are doing these cultivation? But when you act against only one and not punish others, this will happen. 2. Preserving Protected forest!!! Are you serious? The whole Naxals problem in India is bcz of the government and its officers behaving like God to tribals in the name of forest protection. So I know how Police and government officials work in tribal lands and forests. 3. Stopping illegal immigrants - I just got enlightened by you. Till now I was thinking that protecting international borders was the job of the Central government. You enlightened me and informed me that a state government is doing this job. Thanks for your great knowledge!!! 1.His police are not able to handle things and hence the centre has to take control. 2. He was calling one community militant and terrorist and is silent on others. 3. A pro Manipur policy will be, to take every one along and before taking any action, talk to people and don't act unilaterally. Even his party MLAs are against him and it seems like he didn't take them into confidence.

@urvashiboyna7847 First of all, I am not talking about religion issue in NE. So read my comment first. Second, A CM should behave like a CM. It doesn't matter what his religion, ethnicity, caste, politics, etc is. Biren Singh should have behaved like the CM of Manipur and not the CM of one ethnicity. He openly called Kuki, insurgents and even terrorists. However he didn't mention these adjectives for Meitei. There are militant organisations in both these communities and both of them had done horrible things to each other.

@siambiakkimkhuptong3113 I think you didn't understand me. I am not here to blame Meitei or Kuki. In a clash of two ethnicity or two religions, no one is 100% wrong or 100% right. Actually most of the time they are equally to blame for these things. My only point here is about the government and it's response. The government should treat all the people equally, without having bias against anyone. And the Biren Singh government has not acted like that.

@r078seshanp5 Making some community villain is very easy. You are implying that Kuki's are some kind of terrorist. If a clash happens between two communities, both are involved and both have done many things wrong. CM should act unbiased, it should not matter where he is getting his votes
