Shekhar ji, For the first time, I am getting the impression that CTC is not providing or hiding data from users for comparison.
6:30 It was important to mention the IMR in 2014 to compare the total data.
U are jumping from 2003 to 2020 which is not taking care of UPA work. It is not a proper comparison. It should have been 2004 to 2014 and then from 2014 to 2024. If 2024 is not available then till 2019.
If u see the comments section, people are talking like from 2003 to 2014, der was no reduction in IMR and all happened since 2014. And they got this impression from u not mentioning the count of IMR in 2014, even once in ur entire video. Even ur colour coded charts explained the reduction in darker areas every 5 years, u never mentioned overall IMR number for every 5 years.
If according to you IMR was nearly 49 in 2003 (I searched and everywhere I got 58 in 2004. Souce ceda.ashoka.edu.in) then it was 39 in 2014 and 30 in 2019 (2015 and 2019 data is as per pib.gov.in). I am not getting the data for 2024 anywhere.
So reduction is consistent.
Obviously it might have been impacted by a 5 percentile point (not 5 percentage point) Bcz of Swachchh Bharat but the trend is consistent in India.
Sadly for the first time, I am getting a feeling that CTC is hiding data and not providing all necessary details for comparison.
Please don't say that u have shown 4 images (at 9:44) or one graph which were showing reducing trends. In those images der was no mention of overall reduced numbers. It was just a heat chart. Also there was no verbal mention of anything about the reduction in IMR in 2014 or , say every 5 years or what was the rate during change in government in 2004 and 2014.
I hope it will be the first and last time, I will have this feeling watching CTC or The Print.
Note - I think that Swachchh Bharat, Jan Dhan and Ujjwala were 3 very good schemes by the Modi government.
And I told my friend when Modi ji launched Swachchh Bharat that if it is even 25% successful, then also it will be really good for India. I know that Swachchh Bharat is proven good for India.
