Yes, Punjab was not the reason for partition, Bengal was. However after 1971, It was changed. Obviously Jamat is der and they were Pakistani supporters. So some 25-30% of Bangladesh is filled with those people. They are hardcore Islamist and this whole protest was captured by them.

We are not a big world power and except for a few Indians(who are high on something) we all know this. However, if we cannot have influence in our neighborhood, we will not be even a regional power. How can RAW not help Shekh Haseena, prior to the start of these protests? The USA was making things hard for Shekh Haseena and from that we can be sure that the CIA with ISI was behind this. It is an utter failure of RAW. And the Indian government, by putting all its eggs in one basket, didn't have any alternate game to play. Don't know what our Foreign ministry and RAW were doing.

@Anderson-f4t6c Every country is alone and that's why they have Foreign Policy and Intelligence agency. Indian government foreign ministery, foreign policy has failed and RAW has failed miserably in Bangladesh. They could have given prior information to Shekh Hasina, could have helped her in identifying the main organisers, people who were paying money, etc.

@kumar.193 I don't think he is successful. He was not able to handle Nepal, Maldives and now Bangladesh.

@MohitSharma-lb2im But why was India not developing others in Bangladesh for it's benifit? That is the Job of Foreign Ministry.

@chandu25abc20 U see, Supporting Haseena was not wrong. But not cultivating a relationship with BNP is really bad. I can understand if we don't have direct relationship with JAMAAT. But we can still have some of them internally. Most religious big__ot are corrupt and hence we could have them to get prior information.

@AmalTan Nope. I was waiting for you to point it out. Big power has limitations but the way USA left Afghanistan, is embarrassing. That is a failure. Yes, Taliban would have come to Afghanistan, but the USA didn't need to leave all the equipment. Same way, Shekh Haseena might would have lost power, but what was RAW done to help her before the situation got out of hand? It is most likely a CIA plot and still RAW was not able to expose it when the powerful PM of the country was in our support. And about our beloved Modi ji and Jayshankar ji.. why didn't they have multiple options? Why are all der eggs in the same basket?

@chandu25abc20 Do u think Modi is capable of giving that Gyaan to anyone? If she would have asked why are you using ED and CBI in India. And I think, as a nation we should not preach to anyone. She was afterall a seasoned politician. Why will she hear about anything unless u have some proof? And hence I am saying RAW and the Indian Foreign ministry have failed.
