  3. Why not rock music? It was still king of the heap in 1983 with bands like Van Halen. Since most of the new warlords would have extreme testosterone levels, it's easy to imagine petty kings showcasing bands like VH or Alice Cooper to prove their royal legitimacy and ties to the good old days. Fortunately, this timeline's armageddon occurs before Twisted Sister becomes popular.
